We Tried Foria Intimacy Melts. Here’s What Completed the Picture
I am not affiliated with Foria Wellness and have received no compensation for this review. I bought this product with my own money and I’m writing about it because it made a real difference in our marriage.
We didn’t go looking for the Intimacy Melts. They found us.
When we ordered the Foria Awaken Arousal Oil a sample arrived with our order. I read the description, explained to my wife what they were and how they worked, and since we had been so consistently impressed with everything Foria had produced, she agreed to try them. That’s how far we’ve come from the early days of buying things and presenting them without warning. She heard the description, trusted the brand, and said yes. That alone is worth noting.
What They Are and How They Work
The Foria Intimacy Melts are small CBD suppositories designed to be inserted vaginally or anally and left to dissolve. The CBD absorbs directly into the tissue, increasing blood flow and relaxation in the area in a way that the topical oils, applied externally, can’t fully replicate. They work from the inside out.
We were a little skeptical at first. An insertable product is a different thing entirely from a topical oil and we had questions about the experience. But Foria had earned our trust by this point and we decided to give them a fair shot.
The setting for our first attempt was a hotel. We do a lot of staycations and hotel nights, and there is something about being away from the ordinary environment of home that makes trying something new feel more natural. We had time. We weren’t rushing. That matters with this product because patience is part of how it works.
The First Experience
I suggested we try the Melts anally first. My wife loves the sensation of being pleasured in that area and we thought the relaxing effect of the CBD would be particularly useful there.
The insertion requires a little technique. You have to move the melt past the sphincter muscle, at which point it gets drawn naturally into the anal canal. My wife prefers that I insert them for her, and I am more than happy to do that. It’s intimate in its own right, an act of care and attention before anything else has started.
Once inserted, you wait. Foria recommends 20 to 60 minutes before sexual activity to give the CBD time to fully absorb. You cannot rush it. What that waiting time creates, if you let it, is an extended foreplay window that we have come to genuinely enjoy. On that first night we put on a video clip, talked to each other about what we wanted from the evening, what we wanted to see from one another. It was unhurried and erotic in a way that our busier evenings at home sometimes aren’t.
When the time came, my wife was able to be pleasured more deeply and more intensely than usual. We had used the Awaken Arousal Oil on both her vulva and her anus alongside the melt, and the combination left her extremely well lubricated and relaxed. We were able to explore more deeply and for longer than we typically do. That night set a new bar for what our intimate life could look like. We didn’t talk much afterward. That’s usually the sign of a good evening.
How We Use Them Now
We have experimented with the Intimacy Melts both vaginally and anally. My wife has a clear preference — she finds them most effective and most pleasurable when used anally. That’s where she notices the greatest difference in relaxation and sensation.
We use them alongside the Foria products rather than instead of them. The combination of the Sex Oil with CBD or the Awaken Arousal Oil applied topically, paired with the melt working internally, does something that neither product manages on its own. I also use coconut oil on my wife’s backside to make sure that area is fully lubricated and comfortable before we begin.
The Melts have become a regular part of our more intentional evenings. Not every night, but for the occasions where we have time and space and want to go deeper into the experience. They reward patience and preparation, which fits right into the routine we have built.
A Few Practical Notes
A couple of things worth knowing before you try these.
Give them time. The recommended window is 20 to 60 minutes before sexual activity, which is why the patience and foreplay we described above isn’t just a nice-to-have — it’s part of how the product actually works. The CBD needs time to absorb fully.
They are not a lubricant replacement. The melts provide some internal moisture but not enough to replace a standalone lube. We use Jo H2O Original and coconut oil alongside them and that combination works well.
One important note on condom compatibility: the melts are oil-based, made with cocoa butter, which means they will degrade latex and polyisoprene condoms. If you use barrier protection, make sure it is polyurethane or non-latex.
Finally, if anal use is your primary interest, Foria also makes Booty Melts with Hemp, a product specifically formulated for anal play and relaxation. We have used the Intimacy Melts anally with great results but the Booty Melts are purpose-built for that use if you want to go straight to the dedicated product.
The Foria Trilogy
We have now tried all three Foria products and I can say without reservation that every one of them has made a real difference in our intimate life.
The Sex Oil with CBD was the foundation. It taught us how topical CBD works and what it does for my wife’s natural lubrication and sensitivity. The Awaken Arousal Oil added the botanical warming sensation and became part of our nightly ritual. The Intimacy Melts completed the picture, going somewhere the topical products couldn’t reach on their own.
Each product does something specific. Together they cover the full range of what we were looking for — relaxation, blood flow, sensitivity, lubrication, and the deeper comfort that makes real exploration possible.
If you have been curious about Foria and haven’t tried any of their products, start with the Sex Oil. Read that review first. Build from there. The Intimacy Melts are not a starting point but they are a very good destination.
